You just never know …

The big news last week was Sage purchased Intacct.

It was huge news!


Two reasons.

First, Sage now has a fully developed cloud solution in the midmarket space.  But bigger than that is the ability for Sage to rally the Intacct accountant resellers and talk to them all about Sage Live and other Sage products. Intacct comes with a tight community.  A community that may not have opened its eyes fully to Sage product.  It will be really interesting to see how it all plays out.

You just never know….

I’m always reminded of how we should offload a customer as easy as we onboard them.


Because you just never know if they’ll come back.

It’s always amazing to me when I hear and work with firms who are offboarding customers and they do it with no care or concern.

I just don’t understand.

I understand that you might be upset that they are leaving for another firm.

But you know what… You just never know if the grass is always greener on the other side.

I can’t tell you how many customers either bounce back to our firm or refer others to our firm, even though our services are no longer meeting their needs.

You just never know….

This week I was surprised by some large referrals that came into our firm.   Usually, I can trace back how or why I believe they came in.   I’ll probably never know the exact touch point that made them decide to engage with us.   But I do know if you are consistent and keep working at it, business development comes back to you in ways you never dreamed possible.   It reinforces why I do what I do with all my business development and social tasks.

You just never know….

I finished my book this week.   It’s off to the proofreader.   My new book is still without a title … You just never know but I’m excited for you all to read it!
